“Cultivating Havens of Empowerment for the African Diaspora”
A social enterprise focused on commemorating the ingenuity and resilience of African and African-descended peoples through knowledge preservation, sharing, and creation.
About The Knowledge Haven
A social enterprise focused on commemorating the ingenuity and resilience of African and African-descended peoples through knowledge preservation, sharing and creation. Our work is grounded in the belief that history and culture are living entities, deserving of continuous care, adaptation, and revitalization. Through our subsidiary, Small Crowdd, we produce impactful art, films, events, and storytelling that honor the past and create new spaces for cultural expression and growth. Our goal is to build inclusive environments both physical and digital—where the African Diaspora can come together to learn, heal, and grow. The first major project under TKH is The Re-Memory Project at Fort Saint Jago in Elmina, Ghana. This UNESCO World Heritage site will be transformed into a haven of remembrance and innovation, combining cultural heritage preservation with modern educational and creative practices.
Vision
The Knowledge Haven cultivates and celebrates the cultural traditions of the African diaspora by fostering physical and virtual sites of collaboration. Our community havens are sites that honor the people of the diaspora through history, art, storytelling, and our boundless imaginations
Mission

The Re-Memory Project
The Re-Memory Project is The Knowledge Haven’s (TKH) inaugural initiative to transform Fort St. Jago, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Elmina, Ghana, into a community haven.
